Happy Holidays!

Well everyone has certainly been good to us through the holidays. Maggie is going to love all of her new stuff. We now have our crib, rocker and changing table for Maggie's room. Not only that but some other great gear we needed thanks to everyone in the family. :] Things have been going really well lately, and it's been nice to have some time to spend with the whole family. As for Maggie well she is really getting strong in there. Her movements are a lot more frequent than they used to be, and I have also noticed her responsiveness to music and loud noises. All that kicking and moving keeps up at night sometimes. My belly is really growing, making sleep harder each night. I guess that's just her way of getting us ready to be up with her. More soon to come, hopefully some pictures and such. Happy holidays, everyone!

Checking Up At 24 Weeks.

Andy and I went to see the doctor yesterday for another ultrasound. Things are looking good, although yet again Maggie was not wanting to cooperate. She really likes to hide so that they can't take her profile shot when we're in there. She was positioned head down with her spine along my left side and feet towards my ribcage. Despite not wanting to be pictured, she was extremely responsive. During my ultrasound she had a case of the hiccups, which was pretty cute. We got to see her moving around a lot more with her hands in fists up and down by her face. She also was opening and closing her mouth. Even though we didn't get a lot of good shots, it turned out to be a good ultrasound.

After the ultrasound I met with the doctor for a brief visit. And I have gained some real weight now. I went from only gaining five pounds the first 20 weeks and in the past 4 and a half gained 8 more pounds! Sheesh. The nurse said that was good though because I am at my target weight for my stage. Everything else seemed to be looking good and the doctor gave me the okay to fly with the baby for Erin's wedding. So looks like Maggie is in for an interesting ride.

Here's a recent photo my mom took of Andy and me. I'm 24 weeks pregnant as of Monday. Over half way there!

Getting Started.

Well, blogging for your baby has proven to be pretty hot these days, so I've decided to get on the train and attempt to keep everyone that's interested updated on our growing little family. I'm not really sure where to begin...let's see.....
Andy, Vader, and I recently moved into a two bedroom apartment at the beginning of November. We had a lot of great help from friends and family, who not only helped us move but also came through with some great furniture and such for our place. Although I've still got a bit of unpacking to do, due to my procrastination, we're pretty much settled happily in. Things have been going great lately. My belly has finally started to really grow, making me actually look pregnant. Maggie's kicking has gotten much stronger than her first little flutters. I mean the girl loves to move! Andy and I are going to the doctor on Friday for my next ultrasound, which hopefully Maggie won't be stubborn for this time, and we can actually get some good shots.
Ohh and I guess I should give you all a little briefing in case you're not hip to our family. My lovely boyfriend Andy and I are expecting our little girl Maggie Lynn Dieterle on March 23rd which is actually 3 days before my birthday. So who knows maybe we'll both have the same birthday. And of course I can't forget to mention our black lab Vader who's just as excited as we are. Well that's all for now. I'll try to keep this updated as much as possible.
